RRB Officer Scale

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invited application for recruitment to the post of  Office Scale (I, II, III) in Regional Rural banks (RRBs) for 2013. The starting date of online application is 4 July 2013 and the common written examination (CWE) is scheduled in the month of September. Tentative dates were out however, for further information keep check on Official website of IBPS.

RRB Eligibility Criteria 2013 – Details

Age limit - The most banks follows the same eligibility criteria, some of banks may have changed procedure of their own as per requirement.

  • For Assistant – 18-28 years
  • For Scale-I Officers – 18-28 years
  • For Scale-II Officers – 21-32 years
  • For Scale-II Officers – not exceed 40 years.
  • For PO – 20-30 years.

Age Relaxation -

  • SC/ST: 5years
  • BC: 3years
  • PWD: 10years
  • EX-SERVICE MAN: 5years
  • Widows, Divorced Women, Women legally separated :  9 years 

Subject to max age limit of:

  • OBC - 38 years
  • SC/ ST - 40 yrs
  • Domiciled in J & K :  5 years
  • Victims of 1984 riots :  5 years

Education Qualification – Applicants who want to apply against IBPS RRB Recruitment 2013 they must have any Graduation Degree from a Government recognized Institution or equivalent. The applicants having the proficiency in local language are preferred for some posts in the IBPS CWE of Regional Rural Banks.

 

Qualification and Experience required: RRBs Officer Scale (I, II, III)
Officer Scale : No Experience
Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer : 2 years experience as officer in a Bank or Financial Institution
Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers

  • Information Technology Officer1 year experience

The candidate must possess a degree from a recognized University in Information Technology/ Electronics/ Computer Science / Communication or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Alongside the candidate should have certification in Java, VC, C++, ASP, PHP, OCP etc.

  • Chartered Accountant: 1 year experience

The candidates must have Certified Associateship (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

  • Law Officer: 2 years experience as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions or advocate

The candidate must possess a degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

  • Treasury Manager: 1 year experience

The candidates must have a Certified Associateship (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or MBA (Finance) from a recognized university/ institution.

  • Marketing Officer: 1 year experience

The candidate must posses a degree of MBA (Marketing) from a recognized university.

  • Agricultural Officer: 2 years experience

The candidates must have a degree in Diary/ Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Pisciculture/ Agricultural Engineering Veterinary Science/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

 

Officer Scale-III: Minimum 5 years experience as Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions

Important Notes 

  • There will be a common paper for both Generalist and Specialist cadres for the Post of Officer Scale-I.
  • Group I: : For States as categorised as “A” and “B” under Official Languages Act , candidate may answer questions either from English language test or Hindi language test.
  • Group II:: For States as categorised as “C’’ under Official Languages Act, candidate to appear for English language test.

Penelty for Wrong Answers/ Negative Marking:  For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

Standardized Notes

  • The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will first be normalized using equipercentile method.
  • Normalized scores may subsequently be standardized by linear conversion method.
  • If the standard score obtained is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer, i.e. if fraction is 0.50 or more, it will be rounded off to next higher integer.

 

Cutoff Score: Each candidate will have to secure a minimum standard score in each of the tests and also on the Total Weighted Standard Score. The cut-off points to qualify in each of the tests will be decided based on the average (Average – ¼ Standard Deviation for General category candidates and Average – ¾ Standard Deviation for Reserved Category candidates).

Validity of CWE Score: Score issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of display of the Score on IBPS’s website and will be considered for recruitment exercises during that period.
