SBI PO Syllabus 2013

State Bank of India popularly known as SBIconducts its recruitment for the post of SBI PO or Probationary officer every year. The recruitment process is initiated by a written examination which consists of syllabus including several topics and subjects.
Eligibility Criteria :

Age Limit: Between 21-30 years usually 
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit- 
  • 3 years for OBC candidates.
  • 5 years for i) SC/ST candidates. ii) Ex-servicemen (iii) Candidates, who had ordinarily been    domiciled in Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir between 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989.
  • 10 years for VH/OH (Gen); 13 years for VH/OH (OBC) and 15 years for VH/OH (SC/ST) candidates.

Educational Qualification:- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.

Application Fee:-
SC / ST / PWD - Rs. 50/- (Intimation Charges only)
General and Others - Rs. 200/- (App. fee including intimation charges)


SBI Exam Syllabus 2014 Overview

Organization State Bank of India (SBI)
Time Duration (written Test) 02:00 hours
Total Marks 300 Marks
Written Test Objective type question (200 Marks)
Written Test Descriptive type question (50 Marks)
Group Discussion 20 Marks
Interview Round 30 Marks

SBI selection procedure is divided into 3 main parts which is given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Interview Process : Now will elaborate the above three phases in details with topics and section come under these phases
SBI Exam Syllabus 2014 Details
Phase I: in this Phase there will be a written exam which is made up of 2 type’s questions Objective and Subjective. The objective type question will be of 200 marks and you will be allotted by 2 hours only. The objective type questions will come from 4 topics which are mentioned below:
- English Language: From this topic all questions will be of English language and for these questions you need to work on your English preparation like correct the sentences, grammatical mistakes, and English vocabulary. This topic will be 50 marks.
- General Awareness: In this topic all questions will be come from current affairs and happening and based on general daily life questions. Computer marketing related questions will also be there in this section
- Data Analysis and Interpretations: The questions will come under this topic is to check your data analysis ability and how to interpret that data.
-Reasoning: This section consists of simple reasoning questions.

Now the descriptive type questions will be there for which you have to write English essay on given topic. This section will be of 50 marks. Phase II: In this phase you have face Group Discussion and then Interview round though candidates be prepare yourself for this GD and interview round.
Phase III: In this phase the final selected candidates will be short listed on behalf of your performance in the recruitment process.
